Marvelous Morels

Mustered up the energy to cook up the morels tonight before they got too mushy from soaking in salt water for the last few days.




Our sliced and soaked morels.




Rolling the morels in flour, salt and pepper.




Frying in butter till golden brown.




Yum!!

I've never had a morel before. Those look quite tasty. I'll be right over. JK, I think I live a little too far.

They are pretty tasty! We have a lot left over - come on by! It's only a few hour drive to Indy! :) LOL!

They were delicious! But I burnt my tongue on them! It has been over a year since I had any and I was a little too excited to wait for them to cool! Ow!

How awesome that the morels are still out out! I picked a bunch a few weeks back and figured that was pretty much the end of the season. Maybe if we ever get some rain they'll be more. I've never cooked them that way before either--they look fabulous.
