For today's Friday Foto Fun I have this picture I took around this month's Garden Blogger's Bloom Day (that I never got around to posting). We don't have many fall blooms (need to fix that soon!) but this one really stands out - quite an interesting flower. Not sure what it is though, it is on one of the bushes we got here recently.

Friday Foto Fiesta

I love this photo of our good friends, Matt & Laura. They came with us on a trip to St. Louis for my birthday and we wore 'em out. I just love the face plant into the pillow - and the overcoats - very indicative of the trip. We FROZE our butts off at the St. Louis Zoo waiting for our taxi that we thought would never come...and had apparently gotten lost or we couldn't properly describe our location - either one. It was pretty cold in February to be walking around outside to check out the arch and the zoo!

And to think that our friends are now married and have a 8 month little boy - crazy. AND they are moving into their first house our neighborhood at the end of the month. Woot woot! :)

This photo is one of my favorites, not for its aesthetic qualities, but for what it has actually captured. Pictured from the far left is my younger sister - Jessica, my mom, my great-grandmother and then me! Isn't that just amazing! Almost each generation of the women in our family all in one picture. Love you guys!

I could spend the next 500 Fridays posting Lola pics we have so many! She loves to pose for the camera - even when she was just a pup. Here's a cute one from when we first got her - she weighed a whopping 2 lbs (no so any more)!

Funny that she isn't camera shy - she sure hates big bouquets of flowers (I think it's the crinkly plastic around them) and our new front loading washing machine...very skittish around both. :) But the camera...that she loves!

I love this blurry photo I took while on vacation with my father this year.
We went with friends to Isle of Palms and they were fluffing out the blanket to lie in the sand - and I was standing back and got this shot. I know it is blurry - but I love that about this photo...just seems so beachy - kinda like a painting or something. :)

We have been planning our vacation for next year - hopefully a cruise to the eastern Caribbean! The picture above is from our honeymoon cruise to the western Caribbean - oh it was glorious!

We just took this great photo last night! Our long-haired chihuahua, Lola, tried to come in the house with her "new toy" - a tomato that had fallen off the vine and into the yard. She must have thought it was a ball - she didn't bite into it like she was going to eat - just was carrying it tenderly in her mouth. Her expression here is priceless -like she knows that she shouldn't have it. :)

Friday Foto Finish Fiesta

This is one of my favorite photos of our marvelous friends from Michigan. They were our first house guests when we moved into our first home. My husband and locked his keys in dad's truck that we had borrowed for the move...our ingenious house guests helped us come with up with a device comprised of a broom stick, rubberband, fly swatter, magnet and paper clip to get the keys out - and after about an hour - we did! This photo was taken in triumph!

Friday Foto Fiesta

One of my favorite photos because it reminds me of my husband's and I honey moon cruise we took in 2005. It was M-A-R-V-E-L-O-U-S...here I am getting ready to go swimming with the dolphins! It was amazing! We have video from the excursion as well. This was in Cozumel, Mexico - where I first learned to snorkel (and have since became addicted - my husband and I own two complete sets of equipment).

Sigh, I need a vacation.

Sand, sun...salt water - ah, that would the ultimate right now.

My husband holding our little Lola on the day we got her - wasn't she the most precious little teeny thing? She still is precious - just not so teeny. :) The coddling began early as you can see from the obvious display of affection. She just oozes with "kiss me, hold me, love me, squeeze me -ness" doesn't she?!
