Bark Around Town with Indy Hub

(See Salt? She's a happy lap dog!)

Made it out to Indy Hub's latest Big Event at the Humane Society of Indianapolis last week and had a blast! We took a tour of the great facility - saw the adoption areas, the surgical area and more! We met some four-legged friends - like Salt, Penny and Emily and was able to learn more about the Society's many great programs - like their Dog Park and Training Classes. I had never been to the Humane Society before and am glad I made it out last week!

Definitely hugged my pups a little tighter when I got home that night.

Here's Andi and Amos hamming it up for the camera.

Here's little miss Emily - she's a 3 year old miniature Dachshund - but isn't up for adoption yet - she's recovering from a hip fracture - she should be ready for her forever home in another week or two though!

Awww! It is hard to look at those dog faces and not take them home, isn't it?

Man, I admire your um...not sure what you call it...grit? determination??? to not walk out of there with all of those poor little doggies! My sister has just started voluteering at our shelter to wash dogs and help prep them for their new homes. She said it's an amazing program -- they're very organized in how they classify each animal as they come in.

Oh and thanks for the link to the little chapstick holder. When I saw the link, I thought how silly can that be, but then I clicked over and that's pretty cool!
