Cookies FAIL

Yup, I ruined a batch of Creamy Soft Peanut Butter cookies Tuesday night. :( The recipe called for 3 eggs and I only put two in on accident - had already tried to bake two dozen before I realized something was wrong. Then tried to add an egg to the remaining batter - the results were pretty catastrophic - I am not even showing you the worst cookies - these were at least edible! :)

It happens to all of us. I once made banana cookies and forgot the bananas. Sigh.

Awwwww! Bummer, I hate when this type of thing happens. If it makes you feel better, I totally had to dump a flop batch of granola bars a month ago (forgot the brown sugar and they were all crumbly and blah). Feel bad cause it's waste and then all that work and nothing to enjoy. I use the recipe on the side of the JIF jar and the whole PD goes GA GA! And that's my big secret. They are foolproof and really easy :) I can e-mail if you don't have any JIF, just say the word. Hey, do you have a cookie scoop? They ROCK my socks off!!!

I say, as long as they taste good who cares what they look like. :-)

Bummer!
I should have known better with mine...I had the same problem about a month earlier with a batch of brownies.

We actually love that you posted this. Sometimes everything seems so perfect on blogs and it can make the reader feel a bit like they don't measure up- we can all relate to botching a recipe. :-)

Prairie Vision - Good to hear I am not the only to botch up a recipe! ;)

Momma Val - Me too - had to scrap most of the batch - they were SOOO runny most didn't even form a cookie - just spread out over the pan in a wet mess.

TMC - Haha! Your comment made me crack up - you're the best! ;)

Nadine - The edible ones WERE good and we did eat them all up. But I had intended to give them to the family that watched our dogs - lol but there was NO WAY I could give those to anyone. Over half were so runny they just had to be thrown away. It was sad. LOL! That is what happens when you bake when you're tired.

Cheryl - At least you can blame your stove - me, I have no excuse. LOl!

WYA! - I am definitely not perfect! LOL - I guess I should post this kind of stuff more often. I do tend to leave off the pics of the messy garage and cluttered house and only use the pics that show our best side. It is all there though - clutter, mess, imperfection and all - even if you don't see it right away - it's lurking there - just look in the back of the picture - something is always amiss in the background! :)
