Now, three jars later - I am hooked.
I add a tablespoon to my smoothies, I use it as lip balm, a healing ointment for wounds, lotion for dry skin, as an under eye cream for wrinkles and dark circles, as an acne cream for break outs, lessens the appearance of scars, on stretch marks, in my mug of hot tea, on itchy bug bites, in baked goods, as a base for essential oils, - love this stuff! Especially for skin it just does wonders. And I am just scratching the surface for what it can be used for.

80 Uses for Coconut Oil
If I go through the next jars as fast as I have the first I may start consider buying in bulk online.
Definitely worth a try if you've been meaning to do so or ever wondered about it.
Go grab a small $5.99 jar at TJ Maxx in the cooking, seasonings aisle - I now get the larger $8.99 jars - small investment for how far it goes and in so many directions. (Coconut oil can also be found at your every day grocery store - Walmart, Meijer, etc - in the cooking aisle- I have even seen a coconut oil cooking spray now.)
The only thing I haven't used coconut oil for, surprisingly, is cooking. Go figure. :)
Here's a few recipes I found here lately that sound SO GOOD that use coconut oil:
Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
Strawberry Coconut Chia Seed Banana Bread
Dark Chocolate Banana Bread
Frozen Banana Chocolate Peanut Butter Bites
No Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Coconut Oil Protein Bars
(this post is not sponsored by Kelapo in anyway - I just love this stuff and had to tell all my wonderful readers all about it)

I have often wondered about coconut oil, and of course this post makes me even more curious. It's hard to imagine that putting an OIL on pimples would make them go away! I love all the ideas. :-)
I love coconut oil as well. I like to buy big tubs of it from VitaCost...they have the best prices, though I've heard Costco has good prices as well.
I am another coconut fan! It's amazing all the things it can do.
Oh I will have to check out costco or sam's club - didn't think of looking there! Thanks Rebeca!
I know, Nadine, it IS crazy to think - but it does work! The antibacterial properties of the oil coupled with how it soaks into the skin is why it is good and not bad I think. :)
Dark circles? I didn't know that!
I've got a book all about the benefits of coconut oil. I think it has recipes, too. Let me know if you're interested in it. I tried coconut oil and it was too coconutty for me. :)
I love coconut oil! And I only really using it for cooking- it adds the tiniest hint of coconut to whatever you're cooking; I especially love it in stir-fries!
just linked this article on my Facebook account. it’s a very interesting article for all.
