Kitty Crazy

My little Laney loves her kitties! (and puppies too) Such a little animal lover. Wonder who she gets that from?? :) Puppies have a soft spot in her heart but a kitty sends her into a whole new realm of cuddles...so soft! She was able to meet and snuggle with a cooperative little kitten this Father's Day weekend while we were visiting family. She was so thrilled! (the kitty not-so-much - but she didn't bite, hiss, scratch or freak out or anything- just tolerated but no purring and got away just about every chance she could get it).

Laney is used to our adult kitty - who isn't easy for her to pick up - though she tries sometimes...so she was very enamored with a this pint sized huggable kitty.

Summer 2012 Bucket

I am sure you've heard about bucket lists that families make for each season of the year, a kind of mental note but written out in a some sort of form or fashion to make sure you get to all the fun things each time of the year has to offer.

Here's a start to ours for the summer of 2012: (I am sure we will add more as we go)

- Zoo outing as a family
- Indian's game as a family/picnic
- Strawberry/berry picking
- Dunes trip
- Indiana Beach
- Splash Park
- Eagle Creek Beach
- Splash in a creek
- Feed ducks
- Make fair-style lemon shake-ups
- movie night at library or IMA
- summer outdoor concert series

May, June - Whatevs

Oh yes, time is flying. Holy cow. My little one is now 20 months old and since she has been on the move as of 8 months (walking) you can only imagine the speed at which she moves now. O.H. M.Y.

This year summer poses a whole new ball game of fun - this time last year we had a crawler/wobbly beginning to walk little one - now she runs and squeals in delight at new things like the fountains of water at the splash pad at the pool and at the zoo exhibits. So much fun!

Things will definitely be hit and miss here on the old blog - as I am sure you have noticed - hope some of you still stick around. :) Just spending some quality time soaking in the goodness with the family.
